Bring Your Hat - Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Our adventure started at the beautiful Cape hotel overlooking the sea of Cortez and the Cabo arch that divides divorce beach from lovers beach. The sunsets are spectacular and yes you can actually see whales from your room, at breakfast, at the spa or at the gym overlooking the water. There is a massive driftwood humpback whale sculpture as you enter the open air lobby. We had drinks and small bites at their beautiful rooftop bar dancing the night away on day 1.

On day two we took a cab to the most beautiful family run ranch in the area. Cuadra San Francisco is a professional Equestrian center offering lessons, dancing horse events and trail rides through the mountains or on the beach. I had on my trusty hat and Warriors of Divine kimono with hand painted angel wings to ride my sweet horse along the ocean. It was stunning.

On day three we headed out on a high speed boat to get up close and personal with the whales during migration. We saw countless humpbacks.. mommas, calves and males showing off for the females. It was overwhelming. I didn’t expect to see so many when my bucket list was to see one.

That night we stayed in our villa in our robes for charcuterie, champagne and wine that we sourced ourselves from a nearby grocery.

Most of the next day it was spa treatments and then dinner at Manta at the resort.

Our last full day was spent in the sun at the infinity pool overlooking the ocean and then dinner at El Farallon after a stop in their Champagne cave. Located at the Waldorf Astoria Another stunning view with the freshest seafood and amazing service.
