Why I Became A Luxury Wine Ambassador

My passions are wine, fashion, travel and food with as much physical exercise on the side as possible. I have traveled all over Europe and the US sipping and tasting, creating memories and making friends. Several years ago I was in Napa/Sonoma on my regular west coast trip. This time I added the Wine Train to our activity list and ended up at Raymond Vineyards on our second stop. This was my first time at Raymond and I wasn't prepared for the experience. From the beautiful organic gardens, Luxurious bar, Red velvet tasting room to the mannequin studded tiger stuffed modern production area I was energized. Mid tour, a tall handsome dimple cheeked light haired man with hot pink socks quickly approached our group. In a French accent he complimented my dress and asked if we were having a good time. We had no idea that we were talking to the man himself, Jean-Charles Boisset. He popped up several times that day and interacted with everyone as if we were all guests in his home. The next day we were on bikes and made it to the gates of Buena Vista Vineyard for our last tasting before dinner. I had been here before and had heard that Jean-Charles also had acquired this beautiful property. You can smell the history inside those stone walls and the wine is unforgettable. Just after 6pm we were hopping on our bikes in the sun filled courtyard when a voice from behind told me to get off my bike. My competitive spirit was set to race everyone done the hill, but my friends insisted I turn around. My then boyfriend was down on one knee with a glittering ring outstretched in his hand. Utterly surprised and almost speechless aside from the word YES I was engaged to the love of my life with a champagne toast graciously supplied by the Count. Both Raymond and Buena Vista are part of my story and I couldn't imagine representing anyone other than the JCB Collection.
